John DuBois is a former Vice Mayor of Palmetto Bay, longtime South Florida resident, and proven community leader running for Miami-Dade County Commission, District 8.
During his time in public service, John focused on fiscal transparency, infrastructure improvements, responsible development, and putting residents first. He believes local government should be accountable, accessible, and focused on delivering real results.
John has also spent years giving back to South Florida through his service on the boards of Camillus House and Educate Tomorrow, helping support some of the most vulnerable members of our community, including the homeless, foster youth, and at-risk teenagers.
Before entering public service, John built a successful career as a South Florida technology entrepreneur. As the founder of Eyecast, he understands what it takes to create jobs, manage budgets, solve complex problems, and build something from the ground up.
John believes county government should be transparent, responsible, and accountable to taxpayers. He will fight for fiscal discipline, smarter budgeting, and a county government that delivers results residents can see and feel.
